Regina here...
A friend of mine suggested last year to take a picture every month in the same place and position to show the progression of Annie's growth. This is her 6 month pose. Looking at her past monthly pictures is so fun to see all of her changes right beside each other.
Speaking of changes, here are a few to speak of:
she can sit by herself for a while until she finally falls over- She looks like she should have a hoola hoop around her waist as she uses her abdominal muscles to balance while she's sitting. She continues to "yodel" and sing and has begun making "ba" sounds and sucking on her lower lip. Still loves to bounce in her bouncers or on people's laps. She'll turn toward certain words as she recognizes "are you hungry?" "kitty cat", "puppy", "milk", "Daddy", "Mommy", "Annie" and "Up". She's also very good about figuring out and copying actions such as hitting a button to make it beep, or pulling down a spider attached to a zipper in a book. She loves to laugh and smile and is very curious about everything. She also lifts her arms to be picked up which is irresistable! See picture above. She can also roll from front to back and back to front. She tries to sit up from a laying down position so she has her legs and her head lifted off the ground in a "pike" position. She must have the strongest abs in the world.

Last week was a difficult week because we were all sick with what we think was the flu. Annie's temperature got up to 103.6 at the highest, measured in the ear, so needless to say we were worried. She was also coughing and very lethargic. However, my wonderful sister-in-law Rachel, who is a pediatric nurse, tolerated numerous phone calls from me and was supportive and so helpful to my questions when Annie was at her worst. Annie's pediatrician should thank Rachel because she was saved from a few middle of the night phone calls because I was calling Rachel instead. We're all better now, we just have some coughs left over. My Mom and Mother-in-law were very helpful too with their advice.
Next week Annie has an appointment with an allergist so we can pinpoint what foods her little tummy can't tolerate. Hopefully this will allow me to be able to eat a little more variety as well!
That's about it for now! Until next time...
